Registration of civil status documents

In accordance with Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On registration of civil status documents”, the consular offices of the Republic of Tajikistan are authorized to register civil status documents abroad.

Birth certificate

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan residing in the territory of the United Arab Emirates, in order to obtain a birth certificate for their children, must submit the following documents:

* Request letter of the parents for a birth certificate for their child;

* Birth certificate of UAE medical institution. This certificate must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation;

* Copy of parent’s passport, residence visa and Emirates ID;

* A copy of the marriage certificate of the parents.

Birth certificate is prepared within 3 working days from the date of submission of the above documents.

* Consular fee for birth certificate issuance is 50 USD;

* Payment of consular fees in cash is prohibited;

* Payment of consular fees can be made as follows:

– to be transferred to the account of the Embassy;

– to be paid at one of the ATMs of FAB Bank;

– to be paid by bank card in the consular section of the Embassy.

               Death certificate

In accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, the following documents must be submitted to obtain a death certificate:

* Request letter of the relatives or friends of the deceased for a death certificate;

* Death certificate from UAE medical institution. This certificate must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation;

* Copy of the deceased’s passport.

The death certificate is prepared within 1-2 working days from the date of submission of the mentioned documents.

Consular services are provided free of charge.
